OF ALLIED ARMS OUTPUT WOULD MAKE ATTACK POSSIBLE IN PACIFIC. DECLARATION BY GENERAL BLAMEY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyrignu SYDNEY. April 25. With 5 per cent of the arms output of Britain and America made effective in this area, the Allies could attack in the Pacific. The Commander-in-Chief of the Allied land forces in the SouthWest Pacific, General Blarney, said this in a broadcast to America.

General Blarney told Australian troops yesterday that the Japanese were trying hard to get air superiority as a first step to control of movement. “We shall put up a big fight to prevent him gaining that superiority,” he said. “If we don’t succeed, he’ll be here before you know where you are.”
