ANZAC -DAY
ARRANGEMENTS FOR PARK SERVICE. TWENTY-EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY. The twenty-eighth Anzac Day memorial service will be held in the Masterton Park on Sunday, commencing at 2.30 p.m. The address will be given by the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich. Ex-service men will assemble at the Soldiers’ Club, Essex Street, at 2 p.m., and will march to the Park at 2.15 p.m. At the conclusion of the service they will be the guests of the Lady Liverpool Committee at the Soldiers’ Club. The Masterton Municipal Band will play the music for the service in the Park, and the president of the Wairarapa R.S.A., Mr H. J. Brass, will place the R.S.A. wreath of remembrance on the soldiers’ memorial in the Park. Transport .will be available at the Soldiers’ Club for returned men of the Second N.Z.E.F. who are unable to walk owing to leg injuries.
