BY-ELECTION IN BRITAIN. NATIONAL CONSERVATIVE WIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.23 a.m.) RUGBY, April 21. The Daventry by-election, caused by the death of Captain Fitzroy (Speaker of the House of Commons) was won by Major R. Manningham-Buller (National Conservative), 9,043 against Mr Dennis J. Webb (Commonwealth Party), 6,591. and Mr W. E. Dyer (Independent Liberal), 4,093.
