TO ORIGINAL LINES JAPANESE IN HUPEH PROVINCE. WITH LOSS OF 600 KILLED. (By Telegraph—Press Association. —Copyright) (Received This Day, Noon.) CHUNGKING, April 19. The Chinese killed 600 Japanese in sharp fighting south-east of Ichang, in Hupeh Province, when the Japanese threw 7,000 troops against Chinese positions. The Japanese advanced after firing 3,000 shells, but were later thrown back to their original lines.
