IN ESSENTIAL INDUSTRIES. CONTROL IN UNITED STATES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, April 18. Mr Paul McNutt, United States Manpower Commissioner, has pegged the earnings of more than 27,000,000 essential workers to their present levels, by virtually freezing them in current employment. A new order forbids workers in 35 essential employments to leave a job for more pay with another employer. The order does not affect workers in unessential jobs.
