The latest Ministry of War Transport list of members of the Merchant Navy killed as a result of enemy action ..includes the names of Roy Lewis, first radio officer, aged 34, of Percy Road, Linwood, Christchurch, and Hector Albert Simmons, able seaman, of 407 Barbados Street, Christchurch.
