ART CLUB

CRITICISM & SOCIAL EVENING. EXHIBITION TO BE HELD. Members of the Masterton Art Club gathered in full force at the residence of Mr and Mrs L. T. Daniell, Akura, last evening, the occasion being a criticism and social evening. The criticism wash conducted by Mr S. B. Maclennan. Some very pleasing work was submitted for his comment, and his sympathetic and helpful advice was much appreciated, both by the artists and the audience. Prior to the criticism a short business meeting was held, at which it was decided to hold an exhibition of members’ work on Wednesday, June 30, limited to one afternoon and one evening and to be open to the public. The host and hostess catered • for their guests’ entertainment. Musical items and supper brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
