KNOX CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. ENJOYABLE MUSICAL ITEMS. The monthly meeting of Knox Ladies’ Guild was held on Wednesday afternoon, when there was a good attendnce of members and friends. Letters of thanks were received from several soldiers to whom parcels had been sent. It was decided that letters of sympathy be sent to Mrs J. D. Ross and Mrs J. McGregor, wishing them a speedy recovery from their illness. Miss Macßae (Principal), Miss McDonald and six girls of Solway College were welcomed. The girls, Beth Shannon .Audrey Cooper, Naomi Harris, Maureen Franklin, Nancy Fordyce and Mary Burch, delgihted those present with their singing. Miss McDonald arranged the music for a number of the items. The President, Mrs G. W. Morice, thanked them. A bring and buy stall brought in £1 10s, and a collection amounted to £1 17s 9d.
