WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNCIL MEETING AT CARTERTON TODAY. SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL POSITION. (“Times-Age’’ The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council was held at Carterton today. The chairman, Mr F. Court, presided. There were also present Messrs A. E. Reid, E. W. Allen, L. S. Gallon, R. O. Rayner and the clerk, Mr E. T. Beaven. Mr Beaven reported a credit balance of £9,965, and accounts for £1251 were passed for payment, Receipts since the last meeting totalled £1453. The chairman expressed satisfaction with the county finances as disclosed in the balance sheet. Mr Reid said the financial position was a very good one, and the council was fortunate in having a clerk with the abilities possessed by Mr Beaven.
