The most successful meeting for many years in the Hawke's Bay concluded at Hastings on Saturday. There was again a large attendance and the totalisator turnover for the day was £38,593, as against £23,278 10s, making a total of £73,104 10s for the two days, compared with £43,484 10s last year, an increase of no less than £30,620, Results:— Karamu Hack Hurdles, about one mile and a half: 3/2, Poutu, 9.2 (W.
