WIDESPREAD ATTACKS

MADE BY BRITISH AIRCRAFT TWO SHIPS TORPEDOED OFF NORWAY. AT LEAST ONE OF THEM SUNK. LONDON, April 4. Widespread attacks have been carried out by British aircraft in the past 24 hours. Fighter-bombers raided Dieppe Flarbour without loss and scored hits on harbour installations, the north mole and enemy ships. This evening a force of Venturas attacked the docks at Rotterdam. They destroyed three enemy planes 'and severely damaged a number of others. Whirlwinds attacked the marshalling yards at Abbeville and Typhoons small German raiding craft and a motor flak ship off the coast of France. One boat and the flak ship were set on fire. 'Coastal Command aircraft attacked enemy shipping off the Norwegian coast. Torpedoes hit at least two ships and one was sunk. Two bombers, five fighters and one Coastal Command aircraft are missing from these operations.
