“BATTLE BOWLER”

NEW HELMET FOR CANADIAN TROOPS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 31. The Canadians have given up the old-style “dishpan” steel helmet, which has served them during the two wars, and replaced it by a new “battle bowler” similar to that worn by the American Army, according to the Canadian military headquarters in London.

The 30 per cent, refund on all earthquake repair accounts which have already been paid in full may now be collected during office hours at the Masterton Borough Council office.
