CRICKET

OLD TIMERS’ MATCH. Credit is due to the selectors for the Old Timers’ match for having got together two very good teams. On paper they appear to be a fairly evenly matched and a good game should be witnessed. The public, particularly all sportsmen, are asked to attend, as the proceeds of the match will be given to the Patriotic Fund. The management of the Masterton team (phone 1052) desire that the managers ,of the South Wairarapa team get in touch with them in regard to the final arrangements for the match, which will start at 1.30 p.m. The tea adjournment will take place at 4 p.m. The umpires will be Messrs F. Hoar and L. Jones.
