STATE THEATRE
“KIPPS.” “Kipps” will be finally shown tonight. “THE BARONESS AND THE BUTLER.” The programme tomorrow night will be headed by the romantic comedy sensation of the year, “The Baroness and the Butler.” It is one of the best comedies ever brought to the screen, with clean and clever humour right through it, while there is a most charming touch of romance. It is a picture which should make an immediate appeal, and should provide the maximum of enjoyment. The principal roles are in the hands of William Powell and Annabella, and they make the most of the many outstanding situations. Their acting must be classed amongst the best ever placed before a talkie audience. Helen . Westley,, Henry Stephenson and Joseph Schildkraut are also well placed in this excellent picture. There is also a particularly interesting supporting programme.
