CONFIDENCE IN BIDDING
AT MASTERTON CATTLE FAIR. PRICES ABOVE EXPECTATIONS. The Masterton Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their first autumn cattle fair held in the Colombo Road yards, Masterton, yesterday. To a full yarding good competition was received in all sections, both local and outside buyers operating freely. Values were more than above expectations and a total clearance was recorded. Besides the usual undoubted efficient and careful handling by the local drovers in yarding and droving, the majority of the cattle yarded did credit to their vendors for the excellent condition and breeding shown and these points alone would account for the confidence shown by buyers in their bidding.
