REGENT THEATRE
“MR. AND MRS. NORTH.” Two murders, a lobster supper, and chatty Gracie Allen get all mixed up in “Mr. and Mrs. North,” a first-class comedy mystery which will be shown at the Regent Theatre tonight. The Norths come home and find a corpse in the liquor cabinet. Gracie immediately gives full tongue and in no time has practically everyone implicated in one way or another. Complications are made more complicated the more Gracie talks, and when a second corpse flops out of the cabinet excitement reaches a high pitch, especially when Grade’s husband is accused of doing these dirty deeds. However, the local brush peddler, after being thrown out of everywhere, finally gets a hearing, and then things start moving. The supporting programme is varied and of a high standard of quality. The associate picture is “Fast and Furious,” an excellent comedy, featuring Ann Southern and Franchot Tone.
