Twenty-three service personnel were killed when a Eoyal Australian Air Force transport plane crashed near Brisbane early yesterday morning. The victims were three women service members, two American Army officers, one Australian Army officer, and 17 members of the R.A.A.F. There were no survivors. The plane, which was flying from Brisbane to Sydney, crashed into heavy timber shortly after taking off in darkness and was totally destroyed.
