PL AIMS for the total remission of V earthquake accounts (already reduced by 30 per cent Government subsidy) from individuals unable to meet these on account of hardship are to be made upon the prescribed Treasury Form setting out the full financial position of applicant in each case. This applies only to accounts rendered through the following local bodies: —• Masterton Borough Council Masterton County Council Mauriceville County Council Castlepoint County Council at whose offices Treasury Forms may be obtained and filled in. Pensioners: Those in receipt of Social Security Department pensions require to make application for remission on the prescribed form but in their case particulars of their financial position will not require to be disclosed. Applications as received will be examined by the Committee set up for the purpose who will make recommendation to the Treasury of those whose circumstances in its opinion justify remission. G. T.
