POST-WAR POLICY
UNITED STATES SENATE RESOLUTIONS CONSIDERATION PROMISED BY SUB-COMMITTEE. ENGLISH-SPEAKING NATIONS & RUSSIA. (By Telegraph-Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, March 24. Senator Connally, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate, said the committee had unanimously directed him to appoint a subcommittee of seven members to consider six resolutions dealing wth postwar problems, including the resolution submitted by Senators Ball, Burton, Hatch and Hill on March 16. The Foreign Relations Committee and the subcommittee proposed to give prompt, fair and earnest consideration to the whole subject matter and to bring the sub-committee’s conclusion to the attention of the full committee at the earliest possible date. Replying to a question in the British House of Commons, the Foreign Un-der-Secretary, Mi’ Law, said that the United States had not been invited to send representatives to join in the discussions before Britain's 20-year treaty of alliance with Russia, but had been kept fully informed of the discussions which preceded the treaty. He agreed that it was essential that America, Russia and the British Commonwealth should be in complete agreement on post-war economic problems.
