MURDER CHARGE
YOUTH BEFORE COURT. REMANDED FOR MEDICAL OBSERVATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 25. Charged with the murder of Wilhelmina Webster, woman taxi-driver, Ashburton, on March 16, John Hector McAulay, labourer, aged 17 years and nine months, who was arrested at a skating rink in Ashburton late on the afternoon of March 17, appeared before Mr Levvey, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court. On the application of Sub-Inspector W. H. Dunlop accused was remanded till April 1 and for medical observation.
