A DRAGGING MARKET
AT MASTERTON SALE. PRICES EASIER THAN LAST WEEK. The Associated Auctioneers report on their sale at Masterton yesterday as follows: —A dragging market for all sections, with values easier than for the previous week's sale continued throughout the sale. The majority of the lambs offered were not attractive. Two-tooth wethers maintained late rates, and ewes were not in demand. Values at action were as follow: —Store sheep: Fat and forward wethers, 22s 8d ; 2-th. wethers, 19s Bd. 21s 4d. 225; fat and forward b.f. lambs, good, 19s 6d; b.f. lambs, 12s 7d to 15s; b.f. lambs, small. 5s 6d to 11s; good shorn wether lambs, 13s 7d. 13s 8d; medium shorn wether lambs, 9s 4d; woolly wether Iqmbs, 8s 9d, Ds 9d, 12s to 14s Id; cull wether lambs, 2s 7d to 6s 6d; woolly ewe lambs, 13s lOd, 15s Id; small ewe lambs, 7s to 11s 6d and to 13s; 2-th. and 4-th. ewes, 225, 14s 9d; 6-th. ewes. 16s 6d, 21s; small 2, 4 and 6-ths., 10s 4d to 13s 3d; 4-yr. ewes. 14s 3d; 5-yr. ewes, Ils. 12s 6d. 13s 4d and 14s 3d; cull ewes. 4s 6d. 5s 6d. 6s 6d. Fats: Wethers, 235, 24s 6d, 255; ewes, 10s 9d; b.f. lambs, 19s Id; w.f. lambs, 20s. Horses: Fiveyear hack, £l7: 4-yr. cob, £l5; hacks, £9 and £lO.
