CIVIL CASE

JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANT. Judgment for defendant, without costs, was given by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.. today, in a reserved decision in a civil case, E. H. Dagg and another versus J. A. Betts (executor of an estate), heard in the Masterion Magistrate's Court. Mr Lawry said that, in an interim judgment, he had held that defendant had been guilty of a devastavit. The court had since heard evidence on behalf of defendant, and he had reversed this decision, having found that the defendant had not been guilty of a devastavit. Mr Lawry said he would not allow the defendant any costs.
