MAURICEVILLE

RED CROSS SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING OF SUB-CENTRE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual'meeting of the Mauriceville sub-centre of the Red Cross Society was held in the Mauriceville East Hall last evening, there being a representative gathering. The annual report was well received, those present expressing satisfaction with the efforts made during the year throughout the district. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs A. Forsberg; vice-presidents, Mesdames W. Cheetham, H. Trass and J. W. Milner; secretary, Mrs G. Wilson; treasurer, Mrs R. Clarke; committee, Mesdames H. Godden, F. M. Baine ,and officers exofficio. Soldier to be Entertained. Private Quinton McGovern will be the guest of honour at a dance in the Mauriceville Hall on Tuesday night. Fte. McGovern is well known and very popular in the district, and there is sure to be a large attendance.
