EXCHANGE OF PRISONERS
MOSTLY NAVAL MEN. COMPLETED IN TURKEY. LONDON, March 22. The British ship Talma left Turkey last evening, with exchange prisoners-of-war on board. The Italian ship, the Gradisca, sailed this morning with Axis prisoners. The total number of prisoners exchanged is 860 on either side, mostly naval men. Among them are British sailors from H.M.S. Sikh, a destroyer which was disabled at Tobruk. More than 200 of her compliment were saved. The Anglo-Italian exchange of' prisoners began early on Sunday, says an Ankara message transmitted by British Official Wireless, and was completed at 6 p.m., whdh the last lighters left with the final batch of prisoners. Red Crescent delegates visited the British and Italian ships and offered presents of oranges, figs, grapes and cigarettes. Both vessels have now left Turkish waters.
