COLQUHOUN—FAWCETT The Lansdowne Presbyterian Church was artistically decorated with dahlias and zinnias in bright autumn ■shades on Saturday afternoon when Miss Jessie Indiana Fawcett, youngest • daughter of Mrs Davis-Goff and the late Mr G. Fawcett, of Lansdowne, was married to Gordon, only son of Mi’ and Mrs J. W. Colquhoun, Opaki. The ceremony was performed by the Rev David McNeur and Mrs H. M. Morton was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by Mrs Davis-Goff, wore a becoming gown of deep cream over taffeta with a ruched bodice, full skirt and dropped waistline. Her embroidered cream veil was held in place by a gold topknot. Her bouquet was of deep cream begonias and maidenhair fern. Miss Vereen Cairns, of Masterton, was bridesmaid. She wore a pretty frock of flame net over taffeta. Her shoulder length veil was caught up with a golden top-knot. Her matching bouquet was of begonias, carnations and maidenhair fern. Mr Roderick Rollo carried out the duties of best man. Close friends and relatives were entertained at a ' reception at the Savage Club rooms where Mesdames Davis-Goff and Colquhoun received the guests. Mrs Goff wore a wine ensemble and a matching shoulder spray, and Mrs Colquhoun was attired in a storm-blue dress with shoulder spray’to tone. The bride travelled in a smart grey striped costume with matching accessories. / Mr and Mrs G. Colquhoun’s future home will be in Masterton. MORRIS—DICKSON The Lansdowne Presbyterian Church, Masterton, was the scene of i very pretty wedding on Saturday evening, when Joan Katherine, daughter of Mrs I. Dickson, of Colombo Road, Masterton, and the late Mr A. Dickson, formerly of Nelson, was married to Sergeant Eric Murray Morris, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr Joseph Morris, of To Ore Ore. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn flowers. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. David McNeur. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr R. Thorne, of Masterton, wore a becoming gown of satin cut on Victorian lines. Her veil was held.in place by a topknot of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of pastel shaded .gladioli, begonias, and maidenhair fern. Corporal Peggie Smith, of the, Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps, was in attendance as bridesmaid. She wore the khaki uniform of the W.A.A.C., and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. The best man was Private Geoffrey Blatchford. also of Masterton. A number of guests were received at the reception held in Masterton by Mesdames Dickson and Morris. Mrs Dickson wore a black costume with a shoulder spray and Mrs Morris was attired in an Air Force blue costume. | The usual toasts were honoured. When Sergeant and Mrs Morris left for the South the bride travelled in a dusky pink frock trimmed with brown fur with accessories to tone. ;
