ATTACK ON CONVOY
IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC. SWEEPING GERMAN CLAIMS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, March 20. A special Berlin communique claims that U-boats in the North Atlantic sank 32 merchant ships, totalling 204,000 tons, also a destroyer guarding a convoy. The operation developed with a bitter struggle against destroyers, corvettes and aeroplanes, lasting several days.
