DOG SHOW
WAIRARAPA KENNEL CLUB. JUDGING AT RUGBY PARK. The Wairarapa Kennel Club’s annual challenge dog show was held at Rugby Park, Masterton, in fine weather today. Good entries were received from all parts of the North Island and the dogs shown were of a high standard of quality. Mr J. Soler was judge. Results, available up to the time of going to press, are: — Greyhounds—Dogs: Puppy under 6 months, Mr J. Ryan’s (Masterton) Paddy 1. Puppy under 12 months, Mr S. Davis’s (Masterton) Cynical Kid 1. Novice, Mr W. James’s (Masterton) Stormy Footsteps 1. Junior: Mrs Williams’s Rereatu Lad. Limit, Mr S. Davis’s Tamatete 1, Mrs W. Williams’s Back Loop Slam 2. Open, Mr S. Davis’s Gay Crest 1, Mr J. Hanley’s The Admiral 2, Mr C. Lusty’s (Masterton) Mac’s Worry 3. Best of breed, Mr S. Davis’s Gay Crest. Bitches, junior, Mr W. Williams’s Harlequin 1. N.Z. bred, Mrs W. Williams’s Lady Micawber 1. Open, Mr L. Gray’s Desert Gold 1, Mr W. Williams’s Orui Girl 2.
