REGENT THEATRE
♦ “THREE SONS OF GUNS.” “Three Sons of Guns” and “Sing for Your Supper,” will be finally shown tonight. “CROSSROADS.” The latest William Powell picture, “Crossroads,” which will be shown tomorrow night at the Regent Theatre, gives fine scope for the acting qualities which have made that star so popular with New Zealand audiences. Adapted from a French melodrama, the story |is that of a diplomat who loses his memory in a train smash. The ensuing complications provide excellent opportunities for William Powell, and he is ably supported by the beautiful Hedy Lamarr, Margaret Wycherly, and a strong cast. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer have made a good job of this melodrama of intrigue and romance, and most picturegoers will find it good value.
