NATIONAL SAVINGS
REMINDER TO DEPOSITORS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The chairman of the New Zealand National War Savings Committee (Mr T. N. Smalwood) said that while many people stnll recognise that it is at present a national duty to save and lend, a number of depositors have made only one oi’ two deposits to their national savings accounts, in some . cases the initial deposit only, Mr Smallwood reminded these people that it was in their own interests, as well as that of their country, to keep their accounts alive. More and more people were recognising these days how small sums invested regularly accumulated, and how much benefit would accrue to them from (these savings in the post-war .period.
