TIGHTENING AROUND AXIS FORCES ON THE MARETH LINE ENEMY LOSSES IN OTHER AREAS MORE ATTACKS REPELLED BY FIRST ARMY. The enemy on the northern front is suffering losses daily. French planes have attacked enemy troop concentrations north of the Short el Jerid. The radio reported that the British in northern Tunisia yetserday afternoon repulsed more local Axis thrusts north of Bouarada.
