TRANSPORT COMMAND
APPOINTMENT OF SIR F. BOWHILL ANNOUNCED BY AIR MINISTRY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, March 15. The Air Ministry announces that Air Chief Marshal Sir Frederick Bowhill has been appointed air officer com-manding-in-chief Transport Command, the formation of which was announced last week. Sir F. Bowhill has held a similar position in the Ferry Command since its creation in June, 1941. Previously he held a similar position in the Coastal Command for four years.
