PARK CLUB COMPETITION RESULTS. With a continuance of ideal bowling conditions there was a good attendance of members and visitors from Hawera and New Plymouth at the Masterton Park Bowling Club’s green on Saturday. It is proposed to close the green on Saturday, April 10. and in finalising the various competitions some interesting bowling should be witnessed. Members are particularly urged to be in attendance on Saturday, April 3, for the purpose of having a club photograph taken. Another progressive pairs tourney will be held next weekend. The results of games played during the weekend were: Colts championship: Griffiths beat Rossiter’ 29/13, after scoring freely on the last seven ends. White beat Darvill 16/14 in a very evenly contested gaAre, the score being 14 all on the 20th end. As it is impossible to play all the matches scheduled, it has been decided to award the competition to the player with the most wins for the season. Champion singles: Simpson beat Spackman 25/8. the former playing splendid bowls. Keatley medals: Garard and Shearer narrowly defeated the holders. McCord and H. Smith. 22/21, and have since staved off a challenge from McErlich and Anstice, 28/10. Feathers: Buckley and Shearer beat the holders, Moore and Kilgour, 24/20. The score was 20 all on the 19th end. Ferns: These again changed hands when Moore .. and Kilgour defeated Ferguson and Burke, 26-13. Craft medals: The Drivers, Lee, Wallis, Andrews, Simpson (s) became the holders by defeating the Blacksmiths, McErlich, P. Smith, Anstice, Shearer (s), 23/12. A friendly match between a rink consisting of Riverside golf players and Hawera visitors proved a very even contest, the result being: H. Dixon, Wehipeihana, Leigh, Carstens beat Beamish, Griffiths, Kilgour, Bailey 29/27 in a game of 25 ends. MASTERTON CLUB SATURDAY'S RINKS TOURNEY. , A rinks tourney played on Saturday by members of the Masterton Bowling Club was won by Weller, Hughes and Palamontain (s) with three wins and a total of 37 points. Beattie, Martin and E. Reid (s) won the trophy for the aggregate with 42 points. Details are: First round: Guthrie-Smith, Hunter, Mills (s) beat Clayson, Henderson, Haynes fs), 14/4; Eeattie, Martin.
