CIVIL AVIATION
IN POST-WAR DAYS. DISCUSSION IN THE HOUSE OF LORDS. LONDON, March 11. In a debate in the House of Lords today on civil aviation after the war, Lord Londonderry said he wanted to see the Empire linked up by air. He added that he was not satisfied with the production of transport planes. Lord Cranbourne, replying on behalf of the Government, said some form of international collaboration would be essential after the war if air transport was to be developed in the interests of mankind as a whole. Whatever form of international collaboration might be devised, it was clear that Britain would play a prominent part in the production and operation of civil aircraft.
