DIED OF WOUNDS
LIEUTENANT D. A. R. MOLONEY FORMER NEW ZEALAND CRICKET CAPTAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Private advice has been received that Lieutenant D. A. R. Moloney, a former New Zealand cricket captain, who was previously reported missing and wounded, has died of wounds, at the age of 32. A son of Mrs Moloney and the late Mr John Moloney, of Dunedin, he captained New Zealand against Sir Julien Cahn’s Eleven and represented Otago, Wellington and Manawatu at cricket. He went to England with a New Zealand team in 1937, being one of its most successful members.
