MILDEST FOR THIRTY YEARS. FUEL ECONOMY ASSISTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, March 10. Britain’s winter has been the mildest for thirty years. This has been a great boon for the fuel economy campaign. London throughout February had 78 hours of sunshine, making the month the sunniest February since 1902. January’s mean daytime temperature cf 48 degrees has only been exceeded three times since 1900.
