MASTERTON BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING SUPPLIES OF KNITTING WOOL. NURSE’S REPORT FOR FEBRUARY. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society was held in the rooms yesterday. There were present Mrs J. Caselberg (in the chair), Mesdames S. L. P. Free, N. Irwin, E. G. Norman,-sD. Donald, T. F. Watson, T. Jordan, H. H. Daniell, H. R. Keltie, J. V. Gordon, J. C. Broad, Sortain Smith, R. C. Drummond, C. A. Carmine, P. Nathan, E. J. Heffer, J. M. Coradine, T. C. Richardson, A. F. Stewart, R. Miller (Mauriceville) and Miss B. Kummer. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Andrews (Tinui), T. Wardell, J. James, A. H. Falloon, Kemble Welch and lan Bunny. • - '' A letter was received from the Bominion executive stating that it was in continual touch with the Ministry of Supply in regard to a shortage of wool for infant garments. It had now received word that a small quantity of wool had just arrived and in a month or two a full supply for the year was expected. Advice was received that the Dominion Council would meet in Christchurch on April 14, 15 and 16. Accounts amounting to £6B 15s 7d were passed. It was resolved to forward £2O towards the upkeep of Karitane Hospital. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Owen Jones for the valuable help he continued to give the branch. It was agreed to discontinue the publication of subscriptions and donations received. Thanks for infants’ clothing were accorded to Mrs Kirker and Mrs L. C. Wyett. The nurse’s report for February stated: Masterton, visits to office (town), adult's 500, babies 456, pre-school children 45, casuals 25; total 1001. Visits to homes (town), new cases 40, old cases 44; total, 84. Pre-school children seen in homes (town) 10; new cases for month (town), 25. Pre-natal section: New cases 3, return visits 6, visits to own homes 2; total, 11. Tinui subbranch: Taueru, Whareama, Tinui and Blairlogie, 2 visits each; Whakataki and Castlepoint, 1 visit each; new cases, 2; visits to new cases, 2; to old cases, 26; total, 28.
