STATE THEATRE
“ALL AT SEA” Tonight’s ’ programme will be headed by the brilliant comedy, “All at Sea,” in which there is a succession of laughs. The most extraordinarily funny situations arise and are made the most of by an excellent team of comedians. Sandy Powell has the leading role, and he has never before been seen to such advantage as a provider of laughs. He handles the various situations in a masterly manner and does not overdo his acting. In the hands of a less capable artist many of the scenes could be spoilt and made ludicrous. It is only a comedian of Powell’s brilliance who could successfully handle the many situations and “put them over” to the keen appreciation of his audience. He has the support of a capable band of men and women able to get the best out of the characters allotted to them. In the present circumstances “All at Sea” provides an excellent tonic for the public.
