PIRINOA
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Women’s Institute was held in the Memorial Hall. There was a fair attendance of members. Several competitions , were held. Tne hostesses were Mesdames Sutton and Lovegrove. ! ji School Picnic. The Pirinoa school held its annual picnic on Friday. There was a large attendance of parents. A dance was held in the evening. Personal Items. Mr R. Thompson, who nas been living at Pirinoa for the past three years, will shortly leave to take up his residence in Gisborne. Mr and Mrs R. Plummer, Masterton, were weekend visitors to Pirinoa. Mr and Mrs Patrick, Wellington, spent the weekend at Pirinoa. Mr Waaka Enoka and J. Riwai have returned to Wellington., . Mr K. Matenga is visiting relatives in Gisborne. Miss Barbara Sharp, who has been staying with Mr and Mrs Tilson, Te Kopi, has returned to Featherston. Miss Florence Tilson is the guest of Mr and Mrs Gill, Blenheim. Mr Sager is staying at the Lake Ferry. Messrs Carter and Herangi attended the Tribal Executive Committee meeting at Masterton at the weekend. Mr and Mrs A. Spicer will shortly leave the district.
