BOY SCOUTS CARD PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the weekly card party held by the Boy Scouts’ Committee last night. The prizes were won as follow:—Ladies: Mrs Page 1, Mrs A. Knutson 2. Men: Mr Mark 1, Mr Collerton 2. Bowling. In a game for the DeLacey Buttons last evening, the holders,. Colson and Daysh (s) beat King and Harris (s), 20/12. Six members of the Carterton ladies’ bowling club left this morning by rail car to play a game against the Island Bay ladies’ club. E.P.S. Trial. / At a meeting of the Carterton E.P.S. over which the Mayor presided, the principal business was to complete the arrangements for the units’ trial on Tuesday next. Personal Items, Mr C. Holland, who has been an inmate of the Masterton Hospital for some time, has returned to his home. The following Wairarapa delegates will attend the annual District Conference of the Manchester Unity Odd Fellows to be held at Wellington on Saturday:—Bros. R. Farrow (Eketahuna), L. C. Cooper (Pahiatua), P. M. Smith and R. Baikie (Masterton), C. J. DeLacey (Carterton), F. Dennes (Greytown), and« A. Smith (Martinborough). Maori Patriotic Dance. On Saturday evening a dance will be held in the State Theatre, the proceeds from which will go towards the Maori war effort. There is every indication that there will be a large attendance. REGENT THEATRE DOUBLE FEATURE. “Tanks a Million,” an outstanding comedy, will be shown tonight, the chief roles being in the hands of William Tracy and James Gleason. “Miss Polly” is another splendid comedy, featuring Zasu Pitts and Slim Summerville.
