MORE ATTACKS ON WESTERN GERMANV : I DAY RAIDS BY FIGHTER COMMAND. NAZI PLANE DESTROYED OVER STRAITS OF DOVER. LONDON, March 3. From bases in Britain R.A.F. bombers kept up the air offensive last night with attacks on Western Germany. Other bombers laid mines in enemy waters. Three aircraft are missing. During yesterday aircraft of the Fighter Command, including Whirlwinds carrying bombs, attacked railway and other targets in France and Belgium. Several locomotives were damaged. One of our aircraft is missing. There was no enemy activity over’ Britain in daylight. A Typhoon destroyed a German aircraft over the Straits of Dover today. Air raid sirens sounded in the I,ondon area tonight. NEW ZEALANDAIRMEN PARTICIPATION IN BIG RAID ON BERLIN. (Special P.A. Correspondent.) LONDON, March 2, The New Zealand Stirling squadron took part in the big raid against Berlin last night. Many New Zealanders were in the crews, among them being Flight Lieutenant O. G. Trott, Auckland, Pilot Officers R. F. Bennett, Otahuhu, C. R. Davey, Dargaville, and J. Bailey (address unstated). No other names are at present available. Among New Zealanders in other squadrons taking part in the raid were Sergeants Colbert, Te Puia Springs, Cosgrove, Auckland, J. L. Williams, Gisborne, and Price, Auckland.
