PARCELS FOR PRISONERS
RESTRICTIONS ON COLOUR OF CLOTHING. ADVICE FROM INQUIRY OFFICE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Civilian clothing included in next-of-kin quarterly parcels for prisoners of war in Germany must be of service colour, khaki, for army personnel and air force blue for airmen. The same colour restriction applies to underclothing which could be worn outwardly, states the Prisoners of War Inquiory Office. Pullovers of colour other than khaki are prohibited for men in Italian camps, because of the.limited air transport available. The British Red Cross Society and the United Kingdom Government strongly recommend that no family should send more than one air mail letter-card a week to any one prisoner. Headquarters are still anxious to receive copies of recent letters from prisoners in Oflag 3C.
