PERSONAL

One of the oldest and most respected residents of Morrinsville in the person of Mr James Scott, died in a private hospital in Morrinsville last Sunday at the. age of 84 years. Mr Scott, who had resided in Morrinsville for 28 years, was in business as a watchmaker and jeweller up to four years ago, when he retired. Prior to his coming to Morrinsville he was in business at Feilding and Masterton. From his younger days deceased was a very keen follower of sport and was a firstclass rifle shot, bowler and billiards player. He was also connected as an official with the Masterton Racing Club. Mr Scott was predeceased by his wife four years previously. He leaves three daughters, Mesdames D. M. Foreman (Christchurch) and G. Goodbehere (Feilding) and Miss-M. Scott (Morrinsville).
