AIR COMMODORE ISITT
RETURN TO NEW ZEALAND. VISIT TO BASES EN ROUTE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. After an absence of almost exactly three years, Air Commodore L. M. Isitt, C.D.E., has returned to New Zealand for duty with the R.N.Z.A.F. He recently relinquished the post of Officer Commanding, R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters, London. On his way to New Zealand he visited air bases in the Pacific. Air Commodore Isitt was promoted to his present rank in May of last year. In March, 1940, he.-went to Canada as a representative of the New Zealand Government on the Supervisory Board set up to administer the Empire Air Training scheme in that country, and subsequently was sent as air attache to the New Zealand Legation, Washington. When Mr Nash was appointed Minister there, from Washington he went to London as the first officer to command the R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters. His position there has been filled by Air Commodore A. de T. Neville, C.B.E.
