BRITISH POLITICS

RESTIVE LIBERALS. TRUCE MAY END. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, February 23. A number of influential Liberals have formed a Liberal Action Group and have invited Liberal associations to send delegates to a meeting in London in March, at which a resolution will be submitted to end the political truce and calling on Liberal Ministers to leave the Government because of the Government’s attitude to the Beveridge report. The Ministers are Messrs Archibald Sinclair, Harcourt Johnstone, Dingle Foot and Major Lloyd George. It is recalled that nine of the 14 Liberal back-benchers voted against the Government in the Beveridge debate on February 18.
