WORK APPRECIATED
BOYS ON FARMS GIRLS GIVE GOOD SERVICE. IN FRUIT PICKING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. It was officially announced today that 5140 boys had spent all or most of their holidays in working on farms and that there were probably a great many more of whom the Government department concerned had no record. Their work had been appreciated by farmers. Schoolgirls, it was stated, had also helped by going fruit picking and their work had won high praise.
