ORPHANAGE FIRE
DEATH ROLL .OF THIRTV-SIX OTHERS ‘IN HOSPITAL. DAY OF MOURNING OBSERVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, February 24. The total death roll at an orphanage fire is 36. Thirteen others are in hospital. The flames were under control at 5 a.m., after which rescue squads, including soldiers, searched the debris for the bodies. The town has declared a day of mourning, and all businesses are closed.
