RED ARMY DAY

ARRANGEMENTS FOR LOCAL CELEBRATION. Arrangements have been made for a meeting to be held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Masterton, at eight o’clock tomorrow night to celebrate the twentyfifth anniversary of the Red Army. The speakers will include LieutenantColonel Benner, of the United States Marine Corps, who is an experienced University lecturer, and Mr J. Robertson, M.P., member for Masterton. It is proposed to send a cable to Premier Stalin expressing admiration of the people of Russia on behalf of the people of Masterton. There will be limited seating accommodation and a collection will be taken up.to defray expenses.
