U.S.A. ARMY CASUALTIES
TOTAL TO DATE 41,858. MOST IN PHILIPPINES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) WASHINGTON, February 18. The United States Secretary of War, Mr H. L. Stimson, stated that, exclusive of the fighting in Tunisia, the total casualties of the United States army numbered 41,858, of whom 3,443 were killed and 25,684 are missing. Most of the latter are missing from the Philippines campaign and are believed to be prisoners of war.
