COMFORTS FOR TROOPS
DISTRIBUTION IN MIDDLE EAST. COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Patriotic Fund Board has received a cablegram from the actingCommissioner in the Middle East stating that in December and January, the Y.M.C.A., as the board’s agent, supplied the New Zealand Division in action with 1,779,000 cigarettes, 91,627 tins of tobacco, 375,474 bars of chocolate, 76,894 packets of biscuits, 34,032 tins of milk and comforts, of a value of £1035, New Zealand currency, were distributed free.
