ACTIVITIES BV THE R.A.F. LARGE FIRES STARTED. DAMAGE TO ENEMY AIRCRAFT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) RUGBY, February 18. An India joint communique states: “On Wednesday R.A.F. Blenheims, escorted by fighters, attacked the enemy occupied village of Yegyanbyin on Akyab Island. All the bombs fell on the target and two large fires were started. Other Blenheims bombed Japanese troop positions at Danbaik. Elsewhere in Burma damage was caused to enemy aircraft parked on the Heho aerodrome. A formation of Mohawks made a low level attack on the Monywa aerodrome. One of our aircraft is missing.
